Millennium Falcon (5 Foot) Decals?
Who makes the best reproduction decals for the 5 foot Millennium Falcon studio model? :)
I would acquire a sheet for a project and also assist builders in finding original decals in the hopes of recreating them perfectly, I understand that there is at least one 5 footer being built.
Spencer

Star Trek Reference Material FYI / Reminder
Just a heads-up, fellow geeks...
Watched ST: TNG Night Terrors on Blu-ray last night. Haven't seen the episode in ages, and never in HD.
Some fantastic shots of the old Reliant model re-purposed as the Brittain. You can seen detailed aztecing, surface texture, the edges to the "Brittain" decal, and more.

Red Jammer Y-wing on Rogue One
Maybe you all noticed it, but I just noticed Red Jammer makes an appearance on Rogue One.
Its the scene where the Rebels are preparing the strike on Scarif. C3PO is talking to R2 in the scene, and Red Jammer is being readied for flight on the tarmac in the background. On my Blue Ray copy of the movie, it is at time stamp 1:36:03.
Cool Easter egg!!!

Question about the original 11' USS Enterprise
Been on a bit of a Star Trek jag recently, and I get the impression that it's generally believed that at least some of the bulbs in the nacelle domes blinked on and off. I don't see how that could be the case. Does anybody have any evidence?

Death Star Crane - part ID
I'm planning on making one of these in the near future if I can figure out one missing piece.
I know the turret on top of it is from a Yamato, but don't know which kit. I've asked Jason and he doesn't remember what kit was used. I'm hoping it's not the 1/200 kit because of expense, and because I think it'd be too big. I'm thinking it might be in the 1/350 range. Does anyone know what kit was used?
Thanks for any help!

TIE fighter engine parts?
Hey folks, I am trying to figure out what (if any) model kit parts were used to create the engines on the TIE fighters. The same parts seem to be used for the front sides of the cockpit view port on both the standard TIE and Vader's TIE X-1. The only difference seems to be the tubular openings for the engine lights to seat. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Studio Scale Snowspeeder 1:10 Scratchbuild
Dear forum members,
After my first scratchbuild model (Turbolaser Diorama https://www.therpf.com/showthread.ph...69#post4039969) I have decided to try it with a second one. A studio scale Snowspeeder 1:10 scale. This project has been a big challange for me as this whole modelling still feels new to me. In advance sorry for not posting the progress of my work for the past 14 month. I wasn't convinced that I could build this model and did not want to post pictures of something what ends in a chaos.
The Snowspeeder is one of my favorite models from Star Wars. Another reason for building it was that I thought that I won't need to vacuum form any parts and could build all parts somehow pretty easy. At the end it wasn´t so easy, for me very complicated and much harder than the Turbolaser diorama. The main issue was that the Turbolaser gave me some freedom to build it in scale, the Snowspeeder not. If there is anything out of scale or shape you see it immediately and it doesn't look good.
I have bought a Bandai Snowspeeder 1:48 and upscaled it as good as possible. I have also used all pictures which I could find online.I wanted to build a big 1:10 studio scale model, like what they have used in the film.
The model is about 55 cm long, completely scratchbuild from styrene parts and building time is 6 month until now. I started it 14 month ago but meanwhile I took an 8 month break from the build as I didn‘t want to see it anymore. Many parts needed to be build twice because I made mistakes.
Now as the model is very advanced I wanted to show it here in this forum. It is still not finished, some things are still to do and it also need to be painted. This will happen during this year I hope.
Please find attached some pictures of my model. Almost all parts except the fuselage are not glued yet because I want to paint the fuselage first. All other parts are fixed with tape for the pictures which looks not perfect but good enough to get an impression I think.
I hope you enjoy the pictures of my Snowspeeder.
Thank you and best regards,
Mark

Nice-N Slave 1 Build
This is a bucket list project for me, and I am by no means a Slave 1 expert. So this is going to be a huge learning experience with a steep learning curve. There is very little info about how this thing goes together out there. So one of my goals is to provide some documentation on how it's built. I know there are others out there in the same boat as me with this kit. Hoping the experts will chime in with some advice and tell me what I'm doing wrong so I can fix it. Mike Salzo has already been a huge help with this.
First impressions. It's freaking huge and heavy!

Buck Rogers shuttles
Just finished the two Shuttles from Buck Rogers produced by TimeSlip. Made a few small mods to Ranger 3 and added a bunch of tiny details that have only recently been noticeable due to new pictures of the original being released. I also did an extensive search for the decals used and managed to locate most of them on the same decal sheets used for the Thunderfighter. Both are quick builds due to the clean castings

7 new studio scale models for 2018 from Korbanth/Sithplanet
Quick update on new Studio Scale models coming in 2018
With the help of Modelermagic owner Kurt Kuhn, I purchased the master/patterns for
Chris Kelly's 1/24 scale Vader Tie X1
Chris Kelly's 41 inch blockade Runner
Alfred Wongs 40 inch U-Wing (never been molded yet)
Alfred Wongs 1/24 scale B-wing
Alfred Wongs 1/1000 Republic Star Destroyer - 36 inches long
Also being MASTERED right now is a 42 inch Wide Mega Star Destroyer - Supremacy, snokes capital ship and the First Order Dreadnaught 36 inch long
(yeah, the Pizza Slice ship)
Patterns are verified from both Chris Kelly and Alfred Wong as being their original master patterns that were sold to a person who made them for a time, and now belong to me. The reason the person who sold them to me, was because this person has a long history of bad karma, selling less than top quality castings, ripping people off, and his reputation was so bad, he was having difficulty in selling them, so he went through a third party mediator over at ModelerMagic to find a buyer - and Kurt Arranged to get the patterns so our team could take them over.
First up will be a 15 model run of Vaders X1 Tie and 15 model run of the B-wing model. Both models will be casted using a pressure pot for bubble-less model kits.
Second up will be the 42 inch wide Supremacy (Snoke's Mega star destroyer, and the First Order Dreadnaught models)
Third up - The 40 inch Uwing, and 41 inch Blockade Runner ships, and the 36 inch long 1/1000 Venator Republic Star Destroyer
Many have seen my "Korbanth" 38 inch Super Star Destroyer model, and I've added a few other models such as 1/24 scale T-65 Xwing and 1/24 scale T-70 Resistance Xwing which can be purchased through my site of www.korbanth.com
Thanks.
